David R. Jackson, MD  


David Randall Jackson, M.D. is a general and vascular surgeon who practices in Northampton, MA. He was born in Pawtucket, RI, and attended Brockton High School, Harvard College, Boston University School of Medicine, and Boston University Graduate Surgical Training Program. He holds an office in the Massachusetts Medical Society, and he writes extensively for several surgical magazines. He has published short stories in magazines, and a science fiction novel, “The Synthetic Race.” His biochemistry professor in medical school, the late Dr. Isaac Asimov, engendered his interest in science fiction writing. His other interests include a self-designed solar home, composing and performing music, bonsai horticulture, and mobile sculpture.
